f.y.i. on the HOGS situation

it is now official. in order to have my paperwork done before the next presidential election, someone in my loving family is going to have to haul his/her butt down to trenton. there, mom/sister will have to present about 15 documents in order to prove i am me, julian is julian, i gave birth to julian, mom/sister is related to me, fork over the money, etc. etc. then we will get the official state issued marriage/birth certificates, hopefully the same day within a few hours.

providing it's not too long of a wait, mom/sister can then (i think) trudge down the street to the treasury office for the official apostille (the dumb stamp i need). all that would be left to do would be to send the docs to washington to get hillary's seal, then ship that stuff on out to the UAE. sounds almost EASY, doesn't it? 

i will footnote here that every single phone number that was given on the US state dept and NJ state dept website for the vital records and treasury are either a) wrong b) not the department that is listed or c) not being answered. i actually got a recording that said, "you have reached the NJ department of corporations (i was trying for the treasury). due to the high volume of calls, we will not be able to respond. we apologize for the inconvenience." must be nice - too many calls, so shut down the phone lines! 

alas, tomorrow is another day. another day for me to find the answers to the questions i have.
