breathing in, breathing out

sorry for that rant of a post yesterday. will it help my situation if i get aggravated and stressed and annoyed? not really. the funny thing is, if that hoopla was a "surprise" requirement for something here (like a driver's license or whatever), i wouldn't freak out because it would be expected (hello, refrigerator!) and i'd deal with it calmly. i guess i became that american who assumes everything is going to be easy and dealt with and red-tape free. um, have i forgotten the messes i had to clean up about my health insurance in NJ? or a host of other idiotic bureaucratic nightmares? this shouldn't have come as such a surprise - but again, it comes down to expectations and preparation. i had the documents ready since the summer and could have attended to stamping festival '08 before coming here. that's all i'll say.

the moral of the story is, when you are left in the dark, you find a way to make light no matter how much of a pain in the ass it is.
