the corniche in RAK

so i forgot to mention that we went to the corniche in RAK on friday night after we got back from sharjah / ajman. we were going to try the al pacino cafe, but it looked deserted, so we settled on manhattan. only we never got there...

we went on the lawn for a bit, julian running around on the grass. he made friends with a local mother and daughter, who kept giving him wasabi peas (and stuffing them in his pockets). the mom kept trying to hug him and pinch his cheeks. it was funny.

then, another girl gave him a bag of chips. do the chubby cheeks invite the food offerings? i wonder...

we weren't able to make it to the cafe because julian took a bottle of water and dumped it on himself. since i had only brought 3 outfits (all of which were now dirty from the day), we had to go home so he didn't get cold (it was getting chilly). next time...
