the weekend report

so, not a terribly exciting week this week. after 2 trips to the blue souq in sharjah with sarah (we are mildly addicted to a particular jewelry store, although we're mainly shopping for other people) and lunch with the girls at the golf club, this week was business as usual.

yesterday morning and this morning were spent at the beach club, where julian is getting more and more comfortable with the water each time we go. he now walks around the kiddie pool and doesn't freak out when he slips and falls under. for the most part, he has great balance, though, so it isn't often that he dunks.

it is, however, INSANELY hot, so there's only so much time one can spend outdoors, even if it's in a cooled, shaded pool by the beach. we took shelter in the afternoons and went to the mall for a walk around and an ice cream each day. 

this is the good life!
