the jam packed week

we spent every day this week with sara, which was oodles of fun!

sunday we dropped by for some coffee and biscuits (cookies).

monday was the coffee morning, so loads of people were there chatting and hanging out.

tuesday i left julian for a little over an hour while sara and i went shopping. (no cries!) we then all went over to safeer mall to the jungle bungle play area and had lunch while annalise took the kids into the soft play area and on the little rides.

wednesday we went to the blue souk and then came back to her house for lunch and more chatting.

thursday (today), we went to the animal park in sharjah with a bunch of other people. we were 9 women and 19 kids in all, 5 cars. what a neat place! there was a children's farm (outdoor) where the kids could feed camels, goats, donkeys, horses and sheep. there were geese and ducks. julian LOVED it.

from there, you head down the road to the arabian animals part which is indoor. it was quite well done and we were able to see (in order of appearance) snakes, lizards, geckos, frogs, fish, spiders, beetles, scorpions, birds, nocturnal creatures, cat-types, owls, then the cafeteria for the obligatory chicken nuggets and fries (chips). once in the cafeteria, you have a viewing area of flamingoes adn other animals. then you pass through to the arabian wolves, cheetah, leopards, baboons. quite fun. and julian is so nice - shared his nuggets with the little girl sitting next to him!
