raz picked us up at noon (well, we followed since she didn't have a car seat for julian) and took us to sarah's house. she is the hostess of a playgroup (really mom's coffee) at her house every monday from 10 until 2pm.
the best part is, it's pretty much across the street from where we live. nice and convenient. even funnier is when we walked in, i realized that the woman i saw sitting at the table was someone i had met in home center (a shop here) the first week we arrived. i kind of knew our paths would cross again.
julian made himself right at home, of course. played with the kids (they are between 8 months and a year older than him, plus there are others who are about 1 year old or less) and loved the dog. we chatted and munched on snacks. all in all, a lovely morning.
this evening, raz and i went to a pilates class at the RAK arts center, where i also got info on arabic classes and kindermusik. i'm feeling the burn and i'm going to be sore tomorrow, but it was awesome! next week is a holiday (prophet mohammed's b-day), so i'll get into a routine in 2 weeks!
