candee's visit!

candee was just here for about 9 days and we saw a whole lot of interesting things while she was here:

zighy bay six senses hideaway - a ridiculously expensive resort in oman. (we were invited by the chef for lunch, we're not high rollers.)

the blue souq in sharjah, dubai mall, candee's fave restaurant - wagamama, souk madinat jumeirah, souk al bahar...

we took the dubai metro to the mall of the emirates (ski dubai), she saw the camel racetrack in RAK (and some practice runs)...

and we had a fabulous day at the atlantis, enjoying aquaventure water park and a fab buffet lunch in the hotel afterwards. (that was our thanksgiving.)

and then the day after thanksgiving (our day off here), i cooked the thanksgiving dinner for two of our friends (their families). it was great! i know i've never had thanksgiving dessert outside before!
