We had a great time - I was able to prepare stuff at a leisurely pace for the 2 days before the dinner, and had plenty of help from my husband. We had a great time and now have a fridge full of leftovers, which is awesome considering cooking and cleaning is the last thing I feel like doing right now.
And I love how everyone loves the American stuff I've been making lately - it's fun being able to throw some of those things in there! (Like the cheddar/cranberry cheese ball I made for an appetizer.) We also had a lovely 18 1/2 pound Butterball turkey, mashed potatoes, candied sweet potatoes, shiitake mushroom and chestnut bread stuffing, creamed spinach and parsnips, green beans with candied spiced walnuts, cranberries and shallot dressing, homemade Parker house rolls (go Serge!), pumpkin pie, pecan pie and chocolates for dessert. A great meal and wonderful company! Hope everyone else had an equally enjoyable, delicious and festive Turkey Day.
