Halloween

Yesterday was Julian's first time trick-or-treating. Some of the moms in the development here organized a t-o-t outing for the kids. To signal that you wanted to give out candy, you had to leave your outside lights on. We all met at 5:30pm and traveled more or less en masse from house to house. Julian had a ball! He was running with the bigger kids to get candy, although once the doors opened, he was shy. Didn't say "trick-or-treat" (even though we had practiced), but was very excited to have received candy in his little plastic pumpkin. We only went out for about 30 minutes and then headed home to unload the huge bowl of candy I had bought.

As you can see, Julian was a blue M&M. We were even able to find a reasonably priced pumpkin (well, maybe not for USA standards - $4 for a small one) and carve a scary face. Put that jack-o-lantern out on the front steps! It was a nice Halloween.

P.S. The pictures from the Park Hyatt pastry day are posted (Sept. 22, 2010).
