What a day!

I went to Rina's house today for what I thought was an informal coffee gathering to find that my friends threw me a surprise baby shower! What a great day! They gave me some cute little baby gifts and a big balloon sculpture with money in it to buy what I need for the baby, since my dear sweet husband's answer to that question was "espresso cups from Starbucks". God bless him.

Then, upon arriving home and checking my e-mail, learned that the raffle tickets I bought last week for a breast cancer fundraiser came up with a WINNER. And a humdinger...afternoon tea for two at the Burj al Arab! SCORE! It's like over $100/person for tea! Only we can't bring Julian, but we'll figure out the details later...

And we had a lovely weekend with a visit on Saturday from Uncle Tom, followed by a visit/dinner at our house on Monday and tonight (Weds) with Davis. Now let's just hope that the baby decides to come in December and not November. I'd like to have Thanksgiving (and my mom here for Julian when I go into labor). Any bets on when/weight/length? Make them now!
