At the Car Wash...

Julian's school held a car wash last Tuesday. Yes, I had 3-year olds wash my car. And boy, was that a mistake. (Big surprise, I know.)

They were very cute, all had a good time playing in the soap and water. I was not the only one to get the car washed, but the only black car. And then, I noticed something odd about the finish on the car. As in, there was none left in certain parts. At the time, I didn't see any of the kids with anything other than soft cloths, but clearly, one of them (or two?) were let loose with some sort of scotch-brite scouring sponge/pad. The car is trashed.

I called the director of the school to tell her and she insisted that they only had soft cloths. Well, school was closed on Thursday and today (Sunday), so I'll be sure to show her on Tuesday when I take Julian back. In the end, it's only a car. Could be worse, right? Hopefully, we can find someone who can compound wax the car to get the scratches out and fix the finish. We'll see what she says when she sees the car for herself. Not that I need insurance money or anything, but just on principle. Adults need to be the responsible ones, because God knows, a 3 year old would paint the car if he/she could. I know Julian would!
